GRAMMY-nominated pop singer + songwriter Halsey shared the trailer for her newest film experience If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power alongside an album of the same name. The film is set to the album. Written by Halsey and directed by Colin Tilley who worked on a number of the songstresses’ music videos for chart-topping singles “Without Me” and “You Should Be Sad,” the hour-long depiction will be played in select cities and theaters for IMAX showings.
If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power out August 27th via Capital Records is Halsey’s fourth full-length studio album following BADLANDS, hopeless fountain kingdom, and Manic. Produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the singer + songwriter wrote all of the songs on this release and released the cover art for the record in a video filmed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, August 3rd for IMAX showings.
Halsey says, “This film is about the lifelong social labyrinth of sexuality and birth,” the trailer says in the opening. “The greatest horror stories never told were buried with the bodies of those who died in that labyrinth.”
Days after, the singer + songwriter announced the birth of her baby boy, Ender Ridley Aydin, with her boyfriend screenwriter Alev Aydin on July 14th.
