Blossoming star Mallory Merk is back with another amazing song in “evol”.which is part of her upcoming EP out later this summer. This comes after her other brilliant releases “Just Because”, and “Sinister”, which she got critical acclaim for, and it’s well deserved.
The song is a brilliant dreamscape and will have you jamming to it in your room, or out for a night drive nonstop. It’s a romantic track full of dreamy guitar and soft angelic vocals. One of Merk’s best work to date, and a personal one to her.
On the song Merk explains; “‘evol’ is the word ‘love’ backwards, This song is about feeling that you might be falling in love with somebody when you meet them, but it doesn’t seem real because it’s too fast, and you’re thinking about them too much, and it’s distracting you and everything you do. Like, ‘This seems so corny, and I’m trying too hard for this love. Maybe it’s not the best for me.'”
It’s evident that there is no stopping Mallory anytime soon, she keeps coming at us with hit after hit. We have seen the growth in her since we started covering her earlier releases, and she is blossoming into a true star.
