Ones to Watch: Our 5 must see artists for this years Truck Festival

After having to postpone 2020’s festival, we’re finally going to be able to enjoy Truck Festival’s line up this summer. All of the bands we’ve been waiting to see live during this past year are finally going on stage and we couldn’t be more excited.

The 2021 festival is officially sold out with headliners like Bombay Bicycle Club, The Kooks, Royal Blood, and support from dozens of artists like Circa Waves, Tom Walker, Idles, Pale Waves, and so many more!

 

#1: THE KOOKS

This British indie rock band was formed in Brighton in 2004 and currently consists of Luke Pritchard (vocals, guitar), Hugh Harris (guitar), and Alexis Nunez (drums). With six studio albums and having released several EPs these past years, they’ve just announced a tour in which they’ll be playing their 2006 album Inside In / Inside Out which they’ve never done before. #2: ROYAL BLOOD

This duo just released Typhoons and announced their UK tour and we can’t think of a better plan as a comeback to live music that hearing them live. Mike Kerr’s vocals and bass, and Ben Thatcher’s drums really need to be enjoyed live! Check out their latest single “Boilermaker” from Typhoons:

#3: BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB

Also headlining 2021’s Truck Festival is Bombay Bicycle Club, a guitar-fronted band which was formed in North London in 2005. Releasing their latest studio album Everything Else Has Gone Wrong in 2020 after a three-year hiatus as a band, they’re finally going to be able to play their new songs live in 2021’s festival season. Here’s their popular “Always Like This” live at Brixton so you ca get a taste of what Truck 2021 is going to sound like:

#4: IDLES

Next up we have IDLES, the rock band from Bristol currently consisting of Joe Talbot (vocals), Mark Bowen (guitar), Lee Kiernan (guitar), Adam Devonshire (bass) and Jon Beavis (drums). Also having had to postpone their latest album Ultra Mono touring to 2022, we can’t wait to hear their new songs live. Listen to “Grounds” here:

#5: BLOSSOMS

Last up we have Blossoms, an English quintet formed in 2013. In just a few years, they’ve gone from local pubs to festival stages and we can’t wait to hear their latest work live. Check out “Your Girlfriend” from their 2020 album Foolish Living Stages here:
