The amazing Emily Weisband shares new song “Psychopath”, which is the newest single off of her upcoming EP I Call It Being Human which will be out April 2nd of this year, a highly anticipated release.
I Call It Being Human is rooted in intimate, imperfect experiences, the struggling and straining to be who we are, perfectly exemplified by “Psychopath.” About the new song, Emily explains, “‘Psychopath’ is really the driving force behind the theme of this project. I had just started dating my current boyfriend and I saw on Instagram that my ex before him got engaged. My boyfriend could tell I was in a funk and said, ‘well of course you feel weird about your ex being engaged, you’re not a psychopath!’ I remember it being such a freeing moment for me. The way I see it, the world will call you dramatic, crazy, extra, too much, unstable, amongst other things for your emotions… but I call it being human.”
It’s yet another brilliant release by Emily, really showcasing her stellar vocals and incredible songwriting and story telling skills. She really is the story teller of our generation. She can make any story interesting, and that’s why she is such a star. We can’t wait to hear more from her come April 2nd with her EP release!
