Rebecca Black Takes Us Back With ‘Friday’ Remix

Date:

Rebecca Black is making us wonder if it’s really 2011 or 2021. This year marks the 10th anniversary of her hit song ‘Friday’ (where did the time go??) which she released when she was just 13. In fact just this week it was RIAA certified Gold status. In celebration of this incredible milestone Rebecca decided to release a remixed version of Friday, this time featuring a fierce star studded ensemble of artists including Big Freedia, Dorian Electra, 3OH!3, and production by Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs. So already we’re in for a treat with this one.

Of course it wouldn’t be a celebration without a music video to go with it. The remix is a futuristic pop lovers dream that will have you blasting it in your car, trying to decide which seat you should take. The music video features all of the featured artists on the song, and much like the original video 10 years ago, it has Rebecca in the car, this time finally deciding on which seat she would take, the drivers seat, next to her gold certified plaque. If you know what’s good for you you’ll check out the new remix and music video to accompany it.

Rebecca Black has been defining pop music since she first got her start with ‘Friday’ in 2011. Since then she took a break from music for a bit and worked on her youtube and social media presence as well as becoming a prominent advocate for anti-bullying and the LGBTQ+ community and has worked alongside organizations like the AdCouncil, GLAAD, and Best Buddies. Now she is back and better than ever with this new release along with her other songs like “Anyway”, “Sweetheart”, and “Closer”. She is set to release a new project this year, which features her hit new song “Girlfriend”. We can’t wait to hear what she has been cooking in the studio!
