Date:

GRIFF the rising 19 year old U.K superstar is back again with another hit. She is already taking the new year by storm with this new release. GRIFF has quickly been making a name for herself in the music industry. She recently made the top 5 in BBC’S Sound of 2021 poll and was named one to watch by MTV UK, ELLE UK, and Amazon UK. She even got a nod from Taylor swift for covering her song “Exile”. But it doesn’t stop there, she also appeared on Disney’s Christmas ad campaign and sang “Love is a Compass”.  There’s clearly no stopping GRIFF any time soon.

This new release sees GRIFF getting over heartbreak in “Black Hole”. It’s a brilliant song, one that will sure give you chills while simultaneously making you want to dance, blasting the song in your room., trying to get over someone. If you have ever gone through heartbreak, then you’ll surely resonate with this song.  “I wrote this song as a bittersweet heartbreak track,” says the multi-hyphenated singer, producer, and DIY fashion designer. “I actually love how melodramatic it is, as there’s obviously not ‘a big black hole where my heart used to be,’ but the melodrama of the lyrics – over a really interesting beat – keeps the song fun, and not too serious.” It’s a dark and catchy song with raw lyrics and great storytelling. That’s what makes GRIFF so amazing, her ability to tell a compelling story through her music. Each song is special. And so is GRIFF. We can’t wait to see what else GRIFF gets into this year, we’re sure it will be fantastic! Check out “Black Hole” below.
