Joshua Bassett is back with another song that will sure catch your attention in “Lie Lie Lie”. Joshua is no stranger to music as he has had the music in him since an early age. He grew up on music thanks to his parents being touring musicians and them introducing him to the likes of Billy Joel and encouraging him to learn the drums at 7 years old. Later on Joshua taught himself how to play guitar, piano, ukulele, and a number of other instruments. His entire family was musical and they even joined in on local theater productions. Joshua was only 15 when he wrote his first song. He began to believe more in his writing ability. Along with being a musician and songwriter he is also an actor and has stared in shows like Grey’s Anatomy, and Lethal Weapon, and then got his big break in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
It doesn’t stop there though as he signed a deal with Warner Records just last year and released his solo debut single “Common Sense” which garnered him 5 million streams within a month. Following that he released “Anyone Else” which was just as successful and really proved he is a powerhouse musician and songwriter. With his new single “Lie Lie Lie” he takes it up a notch and yet again hits it out of the park. “I wrote ‘Lie, Lie, Lie’ after I found out someone close to me had been lying about me behind my back for a long time. It always sucks to hear that someone you thought you could trust would throw you under the bus when it benefits them. It happens to all of us, and I think all you can do is seek out people that build you up rather than tear you down.” It is a banger of a track and one that will sure to make you want to blast it in your car or dance to in your room.
