Kat Cunning Switches Things Up with ‘Supernova (tigers blud)’ Remixes

Date:

There is no doubt that Kat Cunning is a talent that needs to be put on your radar – if they are not on your radar already.  Whether you are familiar with their acting roles on Netflix’s Trinkets and HBO’s The Deuce or with their incredible vocal skills, Kat (who identifies as they/them) has proven that they can do it all.  Determined not to let 2020 get in their way, Kat has continued to push the boundaries of their music career, releasing one powerful single after the other.  Now, Kat takes things even further with remixes of their powerful alt pop anthem, “Supernova (tigers blud).”

The new versions take on engaging new personas, from an acoustic piano ballad to an edgy pop rock jam.  The acoustic remix is here to inspire you when you feel a little sad or stuck in your feelings, while the edgy jam remix, known as the PVRIS remix, is here to rejuvenate and excite.  The PVRIS remix is especially intriguing, as any fan is sure to recognize the band’s influence on the track; the accompanying music video even taps into PVRIS’ classic music video aesthetic, featuring double exposures, red filters, and artsy black and white shots.  You can check it out below.

If you were a fan of the original version, you will definitely connect with these new remixes.  They both retain the heart of the original, but present it in a fresh light.  Whichever remix you take to, or even if you take to both, there is no doubt that you will be left wanting more.

You can listen to Supernova (tigers blud) [The Remixes] on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
