Hot Milk Fight the System on New Single, “California’s Burning”

Date:

Turbulent times.  Subordinate minds.  When it comes to describing life in July 2020, Hot Milk hit the nail on the head.

The spunky power pop band has released the pertinent new single, “California’s Burning,” which touches on today’s current injustices.  From civil wars breaking out in our own backyards to lawmakers who choose to do nothing but watch the world burn, 2020 has become one for the history books.  And, the thing is, life does not have to be this brutal.  The world does not have to be so corrupt.

Throughout “California’s Burning,” Hot Milk vocalists, Jim and Han, encourage us to take some sort of action.  They constantly ask, “Is this the life you’re looking for?  Is this the world you’re fighting for?”  All of the anger and tension peaks during the bridge of the track, where the “children of today, mavericks of tomorrow” are told to stand together and seek unity instead of division.  We have the power.  You can check out the track below.

If you buy the limited edition vinyl, which features “California’s Burning,” “June Gloom,” and “Wide Awake (In Awful Ever After),” a portion of the proceeds will go to Black Lives Matter and Stop Hate UK.  You can purchase it here.
