The Killers Release New Single from Upcoming Album

Date:

Late last year, The Killers announced the release of their sixth studio album, Imploding the Mirage.  The album was set to be released last month, but due to some issues in finalizing the tracks, the date had to be pushed back.  The band has been sure to gift us with a few singles, though, making the wait for Imploding the Mirage all the more difficult.

While The Killers have released a few teases and secret performances of other tracks from the album, “My Own Soul’s Warning” comes as the third official single.  The track is filled with the band’s trademark sense of wonder and nostalgia, along with that 80s pop sensibility.  Brandon Flowers sings, “I tried going against my own soul’s warning / And in the end, something just didn’t feel right.”  By the time the track ends, you want to be on the same kind of mission as Brandon; you are motivated to go after your destiny.

The artwork for the single depicts a member of the Crow Tribe, and was painted by Thomas Blackshear.  The Crow Tribe of Indians was honored to be featured and stated, “During the unprecedented time due to the COVID-19 Pandemic as well as the injustice of police brutality protests around the world, our people recognize the need to also help keep our spirits alive.”  You can check out the painting in motion, along with the track, below!

No word yet on when the album will be dropping, but we are sure to find out soon.
