Carly Rae Jepsen Surprises Fans with ‘Dedicated Side B’

Date:

Back in 2016, Carly Rae Jepsen followed up her 2015 album, Emotion, with Emotion Side B.  The songs on Emotion Side B quickly became fan favorites, and have made their way into concert set lists ever since.  So, when Carly released Dedicated last year, fans were quick to ask when Dedicated Side B would be released.  She kept them guessing until a few days ago, when she posted a birthday message for Dedicated on her social media accounts.  At the end of the video, a “B” flashed onto the screen for a literal second; it was a very subtle hint, but it was enough.

And now, Carly has put our minds at ease – Dedicated Side B is finally here!  Fans get more than they could have asked with Dedicated Side B, which contains 12 tracks that beautifully compliment Dedicated.  The vibe is definitely a little different with this album, as these songs ended up not getting onto the final album after all, but each track could easily make fun additions to future shows.

In the end, these songs are sure to get us out of our quarantine funk (at least for a little while), which is exactly what Carly was hoping.  She mentioned, “New tunes for your blues.  If this helps in any small way – I’m relieved.”  Oh, and she also hopes that it “makes yah dance your pants off!”

You can stream Dedicated Side B on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
