Mulholland Blond Releases Dreamy New Single

Date:

You could say that Mulholland Blond has spent the past year dreaming of fresh and exciting ways to grab your attention – literally.

The Sydney-based artist has released his first single of the year, “Dreams,” which explores how beautiful and vexing it can be to wake up from a romantic dream.  Mulholland Blond explains, “I’m intrigued by the idea that we can subconsciously ‘share’ such a personal moment with someone just out of reach, which can in turn affect and heighten our desire for affection or physical interaction.”  Even if this person in the dream is not necessarily someone we have met in real life, the feelings that we had in the dream are still very real.  We are then left to deal with these all-consuming feelings until we find someone outside of our dreams to bring them out for us again.

Mulholland Blond is able to evoke such emotion into the music-side of the track, blending various elements of pop, alt-rock, and r&b to create a nostalgic vibe.  The brightness of the guitar, the light vocals, and the upbeat rhythms establish a dreamlike quality and leave us yearning for that special someone who is just beyond reach.  By the time that the track ends, you want to hit the repeat button and take in everything that it has to offer again and again.

If you are still dreaming about more new music from Mulholland Blond, then you are in luck – Mulholland Blond is expected to release more singles this year!  In the meantime, be sure to stream “Dreams” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
