With ten different stops across North America, SuperM brought their “We Are The Future Live” Arena Tour to Atlanta this past Friday night. Welcomed to a sold out crowd, the seven members (Baekhyun, Kai, Lucas, Mark, Taemin, Taeyoung, and Ten) brought a night filled with intensity and passion to their fans.
A sea of light sticks waved back and forth throughout the arena, the main stage quickly filled up with smoke as laser beams shot in all directions. As the cheers became louder and louder, SuperM rose to stage’s floor and dove right into “I Can’t Stand The Rain.” Showcasing precise and sharp movements, the members moved in perfect sync with one another as they glided across the stage floor. With the song coming to an end, Taemin commenced the series of solo performances as the other members quickly descended under the stage’s floor.
To give each member their own shine, solo performances were scattered throughout the night. Taemin had fans excited with his first solo single “Danger.” Hitting and belting notes with such ease, it was impossible not to be amazed by Taemin as he glided across the stage’s floor. As the night progressed, fans were treated to several unreleased solo tracks. Displaying their rap skills, Taeyoung’s “GTA,” and Mark’s “Talk About,” had the crowd going wild with excitement. Lucas transformed the arena into a club as fans danced along to his track’s infectious beat, while Kai left fans begging for more as he turned up the heat with his song “Confession.” Showcasing previously released work, Ten displayed a beautiful performance of “Dream in a Dream,” while Baekhyun effortlessly proved his vocal range with “Un Village.”
Throughout the night, the members took the time to introduce themselves and express how grateful they were to have such amazing fans. With constant crowd interactions, each member had their personality shine through. From either making the crowd cheer or do the wave to sending out a bunch of finger hearts, the members of SuperM really took the time to let their fans feel special.
Performing the entirety of “SuperM – The 1st Mini Album,” the show quickly zoomed by with a total runtime of an hour and 15 minutes. Having only five official released tracks, SuperM left the crowd wanting more as the night felt very quick and short. Here’s to hoping that SuperM will release more new music very soon, and that all the unreleased solo tracks will also get their official debuts. With their first tour across North America, it is very clear that SuperM has the potential to become household names, and Melodic Magazine can not wait to see what the future holds for this group.
