On Sunday night, Liverpool saw Catfish And The Bottlemen bring the M&S Bank Arena to life performing to a sold out crowd with support from Twin Atlantic.
Elated fans roared in anticipation as Catfish And The Bottlemen took to the stage in a blacked out room with the intro to their hit song, Longshot, blaring from the speakers. After pausing for a moment to take in the crowd’s beaming reaction, the band brought the show to an explosive start. Lead vocalist Van McCann began to sing as their statement toucan lights illuminated the room revealing a sea of people jumping while proudly reciting every word back to the musicians.
The band and audience thrived sharing moments during the hour and a half long set which featured songs from every album; including 2014 hit Pacifier, the comeback of old crowd favourite Rango, and several additions new to the setlist for this tour from their latest album, The Balance.
High energy levels didn’t waver once throughout the night; it was clear this was more than a show but an experience. If you haven’t seen Catfish And The Bottlemen live, you’re certainly missing out on a concert that has an atmosphere like no other.
