It was around this time last year when I first learned about pop rock band, Cherry Pools. The three-piece band’s vibrant-sounding tracks, hence why the band refers to themselves as “pastel pop,” and spectacular stage presence made them a force to recognize in the alt music world. After touring with bands like Chase Atlantic and PVRIS and releasing their debut EP, Less Religion, More Sex, it seemed like it was all uphill for Cherry Pools – until they went silent.
Last December, Cherry Pools had to part ways with their bassist after several allegations were made against the band member. Of course, when you lose a vital member of the band, it can be hard to move forward with plans that were already in motion. However, after almost ten months, Cherry Pools has returned with a new track and a new member!
Thank you for your patience. Here is our new single ‘Stop and Stare’. We would also like to take this time to introduce our new member, Rachel Barker @rachelbarkerrr please help us welcome her into our family! https://t.co/hojoTvAJRN pic.twitter.com/r4QhuBM1dF

Filled with those classic 80s pop sounds and dynamic phrases that made us fall in love with them, “Stop and Stare” is a great re-introduction to the band that we all got to know last year. Check it out below!
You can stream “Stop and Stare” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
