LIVE PHOTOS + REVIEW: Two Door Cinema Club // Toronto, ON

Date:

Wednesday night brought a huge crowd out as Two Door Cinema Club and Overcoats took the stage at the Danforth Music hall in Toronto.

Opening the night was duo Overcoats from New York City. Members Hana lion and JJ Mitchell showed us what true electronic pop is like with their crazy lights, energetic moves, and powerful voices.

Overcoats captured the audience’s attention with choreographed dances throughout the set, and their song “Leave the Light On” got crowd moving and clapping to the beat. The duo ended the night with their hit song “The Fool” and even threw some free merch out into the crowd.

Two Door Cinema Club started their set by creating a futuristic atmosphere with lights and graphics on massive screens behind them; it was definitely a grand opening.

The band released their newest album Satellite earlier this year and started the set with “Talk,” one of the singles off the record. The crowd was going crazy from the minute the first song started playing and the vibe inside of the Danforth was definitely a party with everyone singing and dancing along.

Alex Trimble brought out his high pitch vocals while singing to “Bad Decisions”. throughout the entire show, there was an amazing light show of blue and red lights resembling the colors off of Satellite. They played a lot of older songs that the fans would know while still playing a few of the new songs off of their newest album, and ended the show with “Sun” off of their 2012 album Beacon.

Two Door Cinema Club and Overcoats put on a show the fans will not forget, and definitely felt like a party with them.
