On August 23rd, 11-piece boyband Brockhampton released their 5th full length project, GINGER. Frontman Kevin Abstract has been teasing a new project from the group since the drop of his 3rd solo project ARIZONA Baby. Over the past couple months, the boyband released “I BEEN BORN AGAIN,” “IF YOU PRAY RIGHT,” “BOY BYE,” and “NO HALO” as singles that also accompanied a music video with the release.
In celebration of the album’s release, Kevin announced on Twitter that they were playing a free, live show on the day of the album’s release called “Friday Therapy.” Notable names like JPEGMAFIA, Deb Never, Dominic Fike, and 100 Gecs opened for them at The Fonda in Los Angeles. Since the show’s admittance was on a first come first serve basis, not everyone could attend the show. They had a pop-up shop for the people that couldn’t attend that featured exclusive items from the new Ginger merch drop. The event was livestreamed and you can check it out here.
