LIVE PHOTOS + REVIEW: Portugal. The Man // Los Angeles, CA

Date:

Portugal. The Man joined Mumford & Sons for a string of large scale shows across the United States. This leg of the Delta Tour with Portugal. The Man kicked off at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on August 3.

Before their set, the band took time to share the stage. Bassist Zachary Carothers introduced a group of indigenous people who gave the audience a glimpse into a culture that isn’t always provided such a large platform.

The near sold-out crowd continued to fill the stadium as the sun set. The American rock band from Wasilla, AK and based out of Portland, OR took command of the stage for a short, but solid seven song set.

Portugal. The Man kicked off their evening of feel-good fun with “Purple Yellow Red and Blue.” It was the first night of the tour, and their energy was contagious. The audience danced and drank and sang along.

As the opening notes of their final song of the night “Feel It Still” filled the stadium, the crowd again got up on their feet, and fans in the floor section could be seen migrating toward the stage. Even in a large stadium, Portugal. The Man made the place feel like home.

If you have yet to catch Portugal. The Man’s live show, you can see them at Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas, NV and headlining CRSSD Festival in San Diego, CA this September.
