Danish rockers New Politics took Boston by storm at Sonia as part of their 10 year anniversary tour. New Politics consists of singer David Boyd, guitarist Søren Hansen, and drummer Louis Vecchio. The band has been together for ten years now but there’s no stopping them anytime soon.
The night opened up with Kulick who mesmerized the crowd with their captivating performance. They definitely got the crowd going and ready for New Politics to take the stage. The lights dimmed and all you could hear were screams from the crowd as New Politics ran out on stage one by one. They opened up with “Yeah Yeah Yeah” from their debut album New Politics which got the crowd dancing and jumping like crazy. The crowd got treated to 17 songs in total which included a good mix of old and new songs and some fan favorites. Throughout the night Boyd continued to say how appreciative he was of the fans there that night and how most of them have been with them for 10 years. It was a night full of bittersweet moments but the coolest moment had to be when Boyd decided to stand on top of the crowd singing and reaching out to greet every person he could and the crowd absolutely loved it. The band closed out the night by playing a fan favorite “Harlem” and everyone was singing along and just enjoying themselves. It was safe to say the night was full of memories that will last a lifetime! Don’t miss out on seeing New Politics live! Check out our photos from the show below.
