Australian indie rockers San Cisco have been taking the world by storm and are set to make a stop in Boston at the Great Scott on June 20th as part of their summer tour in support of their third album released in 2017 The Water. San Cisco formed in Fremantle, Western Australia where three of the four members had gone to high school together, which led them to want to form the band. Lead singer Jordi Davieson and drummer Scarlett Stevens have actually known each other since early childhood. San Cisco consists of members Jordi Davieson (lead singer, guitarist), Josh Biondillo (guitarist, vocals), Jennifer Aslett (bassist), and Scarlett Stevens (drummer, vocals). The band has been around for about ten years now but there is no stopping them anytime soon. Over the years San Cisco have found success in the music they have released. They first broke out into the indie scene with their hit single “Awkward”, which is anything but awkward. This breakout hit now has over 11 million views on Youtube. The song was so popular that it was certified gold in 2012 by ARIA Accreditations.

Their sophomore album Gracetown released in 2015, which was inspired by a small coastal town in their home of Western Australia, skyrocketed them into stardom. The album had debuted at number two on the ARIA charts and earned them numerous accolades including their single “Too Much Time Together” placing #49 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 chart, as well as becoming touring regulars at some of Australia’s largest music festivals. Gracetown also features the hit songs “About You” and “Wash it All Away” which now collectively have over 20 million streams on Spotify. San Cisco’s latest album, The Water has also brought them immense success with hits like “Hey, Did I Do You Wrong?”, and “The Distance”. Just last year San Cisco released a dreamy new single “When I Dream” (with 2.8 million streams) and more recently released a piano driven acoustic version of a fan favorite “About You”. The band will be performing songs off of The Water as well as the new single and acoustic song, so you definitely don’t want to miss out on this! San Cisco continue to redefine indie rock and take the world by storm, so don’t miss out on their amazing journey!
