The Black Keys shared their new song “Go” alongside its music video this week. The video, directed by Bryan Schlam, features the band struggling to connect with each other after spending time apart. Watch the video:
“For ‘Go’ I felt like I needed to address the elephant in the room. Where have the guys been for 5 years?” said Schlam of the video. “It was a challenging video, not only in the task of having Dan and Patrick act in almost every shot – but also in keeping a narrative that feels cinematic and funny at the same time. We tried to balance the two, relying on situational humor and the effortlessly cool vibe of the song.”
The Black Keys’ new album Let’s Rock is due out June 28, and the band has already had great success with the first two singles off the record, “Lo/Hi” and “Eagle Birds”. Their 31-city North American tour with Modest Mouse and support from *repeat repeat, Jessy Wilson, Shannon & the Clams, and Jimmy Holmes kicks off September 23 in Denver, CO. Full dates:
