Live Photos+Review: Movements with Drug Church, Trash Boat, & Boston Manor

Date:

Movements moved their way into Boston on May 9th at The Royale and put on one hell of a show. Hailing from California, Movements is a four-piece band consisting of vocalist Patrick Miranda, bassist Austin Cressey, drummer Spencer York, and guitarist Ira George. They released their debut album Feel Something in 2017 and it proved to be a monumental release for them. This tour would be in support of that album. Movements brought along some fierce talent with them for this tour including Drug Church, Trash Boat, and Boston Manor. The night kicked off with a stunning early performance from Drug Church who really got the crowd rowdy. The next act would be Trash Boat whose performance was unreal and got the crowd up and off their feet, eager for the other acts to take the stage. Boston Manor were next and they nearly tore the roof off the place. There were crowd surfers galore. With an opening lineup this good I didn’t think the crowd had any energy left in them for Movements, but oh boy was I wrong. The lights dimmed and Movements finally took the stage and the places went nuts. You could feel the floor practically vibrate and the barricade rock back and forth. The energy in the building was insane. Movements opened up their set with “The Grey” off of Feel Something. Already there were crowd surfers on the first song, so you could tell this was going to be a fun night. They moved on to play their debut single “Colorblind” and the crowd was eagerly singing back every single word. Movements would continue to play songs off of their debut album as well as songs from their EP Outgrown Things. From the stellar opening acts, to the countless crowd surfers, to the anthemic songs and to the fans screaming back every word to the bands, it was certainly a night to remember! Check out the photos of all the bands from the show below and be sure to catch these bands on tour!
