Indie RnB group Wet made their way to Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom last week in support of their great 2018 album Still Run. Buoyed by the subtle yet powerful vocals of Kelly Zutrau, the Brooklyn-based band (expanded to a quartet for this tour) smoothly weaved through a set that included songs off of their breakthrough debut Don’t You, the aforementioned Still Run, and even introduced new tracks such as “Old Bone” (which recently received a stunning music video) that showed a softer, more acoustic side for the band. The crowd ate up every word, with songs like “Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl” and “There’s A Reason” creating enthusiastic singalongs. Zutrau frequently mentioned how this tour and this record were about creating an honest experience between the band and their fans, and the evident passion from Wet’s set bled into the crowd, with many singing their songs as they left the venue that night.
