Austin, TX artist Bayonne announced his sophomore album Drastic Measures a few months ago, and in anticipation he – real name Roger Sellars – has shared the title track of the record.
“Drastic Measures” is a pleasantly frenetic song, with a tribal rhythm that carries his reverb-drenched vocals to a colorful conclusion. The song is inspired by the mental state that can come from constant touring. Sellars explains: “‘Drastic Measures’ is about the ups and downs of life during intense touring, as well as the mental and physical strain it can require. There are times that can feel super isolating and lonely, along with some incredibly inspiring and memorable times. Sometimes it can feel like you lose touch with your friends and family, which I found to be very difficult at some points over the last few years. It’s a uniquely bittersweet lifestyle that demands plenty of self-care.”
In addition to the song, Bayonne has also shared the music video; it’s a similarly colorful affair that seriously builds our excitement for the new album. Watch it below:
