Date:

The Tabernacle: Atlanta, GA

With Atlanta being the first stop, Tori Kelly officially embarks on the Hiding Place Tour.

Last night, Tori Kelly brought the Hiding Place Tour to a sold-out crowd in Atlanta. As several fans quickly entered the venue, they were soon teleported into a safe, hiding place as the music began to play.

As the sound of the live band, and the vocals of the backup singers roared throughout the venue, Tori’s voice transcended as she came out to a standing ovation from the crowd. Everyone danced and clapped along as the Tori Kelly performed “Masterpiece”, the intro song of her newest album Hiding Place. With a smooth transition and keeping the energy going, the singer went on to perform a fan favorite, “Hollow”. As the crowd sang along with the singer and filled the venue with their voices the night truly became magical. As the high notes approached, the crowd silenced as all the lights aimed towards Tori. As everyone watched in awe, she belted out the impressive notes.

Finding so much beauty in Tori’s vocals, the live renditions of her songs were just as beautiful. The live versions of the songs were extended and filled with beautiful vocal runs and riffs. The intro songs set the tone for the remainder of the show, as each song had its own special touch.

There were several moments throughout the night where the singer interacted with the crowd. Speaking for the first time, she informed the crowd that “this is a safe place, some may have different views from me, but I just really wanted to tell you that tonight is a safe place for everyone,” the audience cheered in agreement as Tori began to perform “Sunday“.

With a night filled with exciting moments, fans rejoiced as the singer picked up her guitar. As the band members left the stage, Tori began to play an acoustic version of “Nobody Love”. Switching it up from the studio version, the singer mixed the song with the lyrics of “Expensive”. With an excited crowd, Tori was all smiles as she performed her acoustic set.

Informing the crowd that it has been a while, Tori revealed that she has several unreleased songs and asked the crowd if they wanted to hear one. With loud yells of approval, Tori’s personalty shined through as she giggled and decided which song she wanted to perform and/or remembered. While having treated her fans to new music, she brought the crowd to past when she performed “All In My Head“, a song released from her first EP Homemade Songs.

Revealing that she has partnered with a charity in hopes of helping children in need, she informed the crowd that if they text TORI to 38470, they can also make a donation to help spread love. With that being said, she performed a raw and emotional performance of her song “Help Us To Love.” With emotions running strong through the venue, Tori recalled the writing process of “Psalm 42.” As fans listened to every single word, Tori admits that she was in a hard place, but that with the help of God she was able to gain strength. As fans applauded and cheered, Tori showcased a passionate performance. As the gospel song went on, several lifted their hands in worship thus creating the most memorable moment of Tori’s first show.

If the first night will foreshadow of whats to come for the remaining tour dates, fans can await an amazing show. With a night filled with splendid vocals, raw emotions, and amazing live-renditions, this is definitely the show to look out for.
