LIVE REVIEW: 5 Seconds Of Summer Meets Atlanta With Nonstop Excitement

Date:

With a very successful album, Youngblood, that landed on the number one spot this past June on the Billboard 200, the Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer has been traveling the world on their “Meet You There” Tour. This past week, the boy band brought their world tour to the Coca Cola Roxy theatre in Atlanta, GA (September 19).

Joining along for the North American portion of the tour, The Aces started the evening with a bang. The four members completely won over the crowd as they jumped and performed flawlessly around the stage. Performing songs  such as “Last One,”  “Volcanic Love,” and many more, it was hard to resist dancing and singing along with the group. Truly an amazing addition to the tour, the 4-piece girl group set the tone for the remainder of the night.

With an excited crowd, the 4-piece boy band started their set with a fan favorite, “Babylon.” With intense beats, and flashing lights the intro to their set was indeed an experience. Fans shouted and screamed, as 5SOS performed the closing song of their most recent album. With nonstop excitement, the members jammed along throughout the stage showcasing their massive stage presence.

Continuing with songs from their latest album, the band went on to perform “Talk Fast” and “Moving Along.” Thinking that the sold-out crowd couldn’t get any louder, boy was I wrong. Taking us back through memory lane, 5SOS performed older hits such as “She’s Kinda Hot,” “Girls Talk Boys,” and “Waste The Night.” With constant smiles and energy, the boys kept dominating throughout the night.

With a setlist consisting of mainly newer songs from Youngblood, every once in a while an older song would appear thus pleasing both old and new fans. As the night progressed, the energy never died down as fans sang nonstop throughout the show. Closing the night, 5 Seconds Of Summer ended the night by performing “She Looks So Perfect,” and following it with their latest hit, “Youngblood.”
