This year in Union Park, Chicago the annual Pitchfork Music Festival will headline a truly exciting and vast slew of genre defining artists such as Australia’s psychedelic band Tame Impala, Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt and SYD, Fleet Foxes, and the legendary LAURYN HILL! Let’s not forget more incredible and talented acts such as Big Baby Dram, Raphael Saadiq, Chaka Khan, and Blood Orange that will also perform July 20th-22nd!

ACT #1: Tame Impala (Headliner)
ORIGIN: Perth, Western Australia
PERFORMING: Day 1: July 20th, GREEN Stage
OVERVIEW: Truly in a class of their own and masters of their sound, psychedelic band Tame Impala are the epitome of unique. Front man Kevin Parker brings back the feeling of nostalgic romances and self introspection on the fan favorite, break through, highly anticipated, and critically acclaimed album CURRENTS. Whether you’re bumming over a summer break up or simply searching for good vibes, Tame Impala is certainly for you, do not sleep on this incredible band, check out their other two albums Innerspeaker and Lonerism.

ACT #2: EARL SWEATSHIRT (Rapper)
ORIGIN: Los Angeles, CA
PERFORMING: Day 1: July 20th, GREEN Stage
OVERVIEW: A well respected MC in the competitive world of rap music, the young and elusive Earl Sweatshirt, from the controversial and popular hip hop collective known as ODD FUTURE released his first project when he was 16. If that wasn’t impressive enough, he’s considered one of the world’s most complex lyricists, with both of his project releases receiving widespread acclaim. Success.

ACT #3: Fleet Foxes (Band)
ORIGIN: Seattle, Washington, US
PERFORMING: Day 2: July 21st, GREEN Stage
OVERVIEW: What can I say? Indie Rock is everything. Fleet Foxes? Amazing, euphoric, beautiful. Don’t believe me? Have a listen below. (from critically acclaimed 2017 released album “Crack-Up”).

ACT #4: Ms. Lauryn Hill (Headliner)
ORIGIN: East Orange, New Jersey, US
PERFORMING: Day 3: July 22nd, GREEN Stage
OVERVIEW: Known famously for dropping only 1 album over a span of years in an incredibly relevant career is a near impossible feat. Make no mistake, The album known as The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, is an album that impacted a whole culture with widespread acclaim, highly considered one of music’s greatest albums ever made. Not to mention, is included by the Library of Congress in the National Recording Registry. A true poet, a true talent.
