Forecastle 2018: What You Need To Know

With Forecastle Festival 2018 coming to Louisville, Kentucky in less than two weeks, here is what you need to know about the critically acclaimed festival:

When and where will the festival take place?
Forecastle 2018 will take place on July 13-15 at Waterfront Park. There will be five stages to choose from around the park named Mast Stage, Boom Stage, Ocean Stage, WFPK Stage, and Party Cove.

Who is performing?
Modest Mouse, Chris Stapleton, and Arcade Fire are set to headline the festival with each artist ending Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night in that order. While these artists are definitely seem like the main attractions for each day, here are some artists that you should make sure to look out for each day:

Friday:

Arlie

With their lo-fi guitar driven tones and bedroom rock sound, Nashville formed band Arlie is a set you have to check out. Songs to listen to include Didya Think and Big Fat Mouth. They perform from 2:30 to 3:15 at the Boom Stage.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise

North Carolina based band Rainbow Kitten Surprise will have you on your feet dancing in no time at all. With their infectious hooks and dynamic harmonies, this is a set you cannot afford to miss. Songs to listen to include Fever Pitch, First Class, and Counting Cards. They perform from 7 to 8 at the Mast Stage.

Saturday:

Hippie Sabotage

Brother EDM duo Hippie Sabotage are no strangers to success with being #1 on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart. With bass driven beats and great guitar melodies, this duo is sure to have you jumping up and down. Songs to listen to include High Enough, Drifter, and Devil Eyes. They perform from 6:45 to 7:45 at the Ocean Stage.

Houndmouth

Fans of alternative blues or indie folk will love Houndmouth because of their guitar driven/ natural harmonic sound. This is a great set to catch with your friends and will leave you longing for more. Songs to listen to include Sedona, Darlin’, and Honey Slider. They perform from 7:45 to 9 at the Mast Stage.

Sunday:

Colony House

Any fan of the alternative wave will instantly recognize Colony House. With their guitar driven rock and catchy lyrics, this is a set you have to attend. Songs to listen to include You & I, Silhouettes, and Second Guessing Games. They perform from 2 to 2:45 at the Mast Stage.

Oh Wonder

If you haven’t heard of this London based alt-pop duo yet, you need to check them out right now. After their worldwide success with their albums Oh Wonder and Ultralife and a feature on Lil Uzi Vert’s song The Way Life Goes, Oh Wonder is climbing up the charts and do not appear to be stopping any time soon. Songs to listen to include Lifetimes, Without You, and High On Humans. They perform from 4:45 to 5:45 on the Boom Stage.

How can I go?
Prices for general admission are $189.50 plus additional fees. Yacht Club prices start at $249.50 plus additional fees and VIP at $449.50 plus additional fees.
