Float Fest returns to San Marcos, Texas, about 30 miles southwest of Austin, on July 21-22, 2018 on the San Marcos River. This year the festival will consist of two main stages: the Sun and Water Stage– which are very fitting names considering the blistering Texas heat and the option of floating down the river to where the stages are located!
Headliners include Tame Impala, Bass Nectar, Snoop Dogg, and Modest Mouse, as well as many other performers including Glass Animals and Lil Wayne. This fantastic lineup has a mixture of indie/alternative artists as well as EDM and rap artists, catering to many music tastes. Anyone who attends, regardless of music taste will be sure to have a fun, enjoyable time!
Weekend general-admission passes are currently on sale for $149 and single day are available for $89. VIP (which includes complimentary drinks, free tubing, side stage viewing areas, private air conditioned bathrooms, a free meal, and many other great features) is also available for the weekend at the price of $499 and is also available for one day tickets for $299. Tickets will later increase in price as the fourth and final tier of tickets will be released.
Tubing is an additional $20 for a weekend pass, allowing you to enjoy the float down the beautiful San Marcos River to the stages. Additional amenities are available such as the Frigid Float Lounge ($35 for the weekend, $20 one day), which consists of extremely cold air conditioning and comfortable seating, enabling a nice way to relax and cool off after spending time in the Texas heat. Camping is included in all passes and RV passes are also available.
Professionals will be hired to help clean the San Marcos River as keeping it clean is very important to those behind Float Fest, and should be to those attending, too!
