LIVE PHOTOS: Soaring High, P!NK Dominates Philips Arena

Date:

Selling out several shows throughout the world, Pink brought the “Beautiful Trauma” World Tour to Atlanta this past weekend and it was everything we could have hoped for. Being a threat to any upcoming Cirque du Soleil show, Pink wasted no time making a grand entrance by swinging around an extravagant chandelier to her classic hit “Get The Party Started.” With intense aerial antics, the performer twirled mid-air as she captivated everyone in the arena. It was impossible to stand still and not be amazed with everything that was going on. From the constant changing lights and the intense choreography, there was not one single dull moment on stage.

Pleasing both old and new fans, the performer transitioned into “Beautiful Trauma,” the title track of her most recent release. and kept the energy well alive as she and her dancers danced around the stage with what appeared to be melted lampposts. With a 21 piece setlist, Pink truly brought justice to her most recent album while still performing some of her past hits, truly making this tour be fulfilling for both old and new fans.

With constant high-flying action throughout the show, the on land moments were just as spectacular. From hyping the crowd with her own rendition of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl,” onto the end of “Funhouse,” to a cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Pink had the audience dancing and singing along to every single word. Also let’s not forgot the moment a giant, Eminem ballon appeared while Pink performed their collab “Revenge.”

One-third way into the show, the arena was transformed into a spooky, mysterious forest filled with dancing, ominous animals, while Pink took the form of Red Riding Hood. As the initial, familiar beats of “Try” begins, the crowd filled the sold-out arena with cheer as Pink once again soared into the air. With impressive visuals, a cinematic experience truly took place this past weekend at Philips arena.

With a show filled with high intensity and excitement, there was indeed some down time when Pink took the time to interact with the crowd. The performer walked around the pit, as she signed posters and albums, while informing the crowd how she’s grateful for every single one of them. A true, rare heartfelt moment that shows how humble the performer is, despite her big fame. With several heart-felt moments throughout the show, Pink reminded the audience that “we don’t change,” and that they have to be true to themselves. With that being said, she went on to perform “Raise Your Glass,” and her daughter runs on stage to give her a hug, leaving the crowd in awe.

The encore started with an intense singalong of “So What,” which revealed the concert’s most outrageous aerial shenanigans, Pink soaring throughout the arena as she reached towards the hands of fans in the upmost balconies. With an impossible climax to follow, the star returned with a heartfelt “Glitter in the Air,” leaving the audience with a simplistic, but beautiful end to such an action-packed show.

Pink truly brought an amazing show with her “Beautiful Trauma” World Tour. With years of experience under her belt, there’s no doubt that Pink is one of the best performers out there. Serving vocals and difficult choreography, it’s just impossible to dislike anything about the show when everything is done with such great detail. If you already have a ticket to one of her upcoming shows, get ready to be blown away. If not, I would greatly advise to find a ticket for you will be missing out on an amazing show.
