After two years of set backs, Joyride is finally here with 13 tracks. Despite being released today, Tinashe had already released three different videos leading up to the album’s release date.
Lead single “No Drama,” started the hype with its slick club beats and impressive choreography, while teaming up with Offset. In keeping the hype going, the singer released a vertical video of her alt-pop “Faded Love.” Revealing more and more collaborations as time progressed, Tinashe teamed up with Ty Dolla $ign and French Montana on a future, potential club banger, “Me So Bad.” With three different singles, Tinashe sets the mood for Joyride.
The latest LP channels different sounds, showing how versatile the 25-year-old truly is. The LP demonstrates growth from her most recent project, Nightride, and her past mix-tapes. With an album consisting of several collaborations, there is just one more that has not been mentioned with Little Dragon. With a catchy beat and breathy vocals, “Stuck With Me” is for sure to become a fan favorite, and will most likely be added to several pre-game playlists in the near future. Always coming in clutch with her interludes, “Ain’t Good For Ya” is for sure a bop that will leave you wanting more the moment it ends. “Salt” is for sure a mood, as the singer’s silky voice combines with a sultry bass line. Closing the sophomore album with a piano ballad “Fires and Flames, Tinashe’s vocal talent is showcased to the world, showing the true potential that she holds. Joyride will indeed take you on a joy ride through it’s different sounds, revealing why Tinashe is a force to be reckoned with.
