“Hello? 999, what’s your emergency?” Apparently, it’s Wet Leg’s return—and they’re hitting the scene with no intention of easing in gently.
With “CPR,” the opening track from their upcoming second album, Moisturizer, set to release on July 11, Wet Leg opens with a tongue-in-cheek emergency call and quickly drops into a groove that’s equal parts grime and charm.
Rhian Teasdale delivers her lines in a familiar dry drawl, skating over a pulsing beat. Lines like “I tied a rope around my waist / I tend to get lost in your eyes” flirt with sincerity before twisting into something darker. And when she repeats “Is it love, or suicide?” with eerie calm, the track reveals its edge: it’s a love song, but one wrapped in irony, impulse, and the kind of tension only Wet Leg can sell.
The video, a chaotic one-take shot directed by the band, matches the song’s energy—loose, manic, and unapologetically weird. It’s another reminder that Wet Leg’s charm lies not just in the music, but in the full spectacle of their world.
Following the jagged, addictive “Catch These Fists,” “CPR” doubles down on the band’s push into louder, riskier territory. If these singles are any indication, Moisturizer is shaping up to be their boldest statement yet—fiercer, sharper, and fully in control.
With “CPR,” Wet Leg prove they still know how to turn a hook into a punchline—and a pop song into something far stranger and smarter than it seems.
moisturizer is available for pre-order on limited edition 3D gatefold cream colored vinyl w/ signed photo, picture disc vinyl, standard vinyl, cassette, CD and digitally.
